Compressive Strength Testing

Liquid Labs WA is fully equipped, and NATA accredited to perform testing on Reconstituted Limestone Blocks. The reconstituted limestone blocks are manufactured through a batching process like premixed concrete, by combining crushed and screened limestone with cement as a binder.

NATA Accreditation held by LLWA for Reconstituted Limestone blocks Include:

  • RLBMA – Section 3: METHOD FOR THE DETERMINATION OF COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH AND MASS PER UNIT VOLUME OF BLOCKS

The RLBMA test method covers the determination of the compressive strength and mass per unit volume of reconstituted blocks. The reconstituted blocks are typically of reconstituted cement bound limestone or aggregate.

A block specimen is measured for its linear dimensions and its mass is determined to calculate its mass per unit volume. It is then compressed at a specified rate and the force required to achieve failure is recorded. The compressive strength is a function of the failure load divided by the area under stress.
