Project Description

Wolf Contracting engaged LLWA as a NATA-registered soils laboratory to provide a suitably qualified soil technician to undertake quality assurance testing of placed material (compacted fill) to ensure the requirements of the specification are achieved.

The works mainly involved bulk earthworks to raise the perimeter embankments, decant accessway and decant structure by 2.1m (nominal) from current crest RL 529.9m to new crest RL 532.0m.

Testing and reporting covered moisture content, density ratio and percentage fines. The onsite testing laboratory supplied by LLWA was NATA-accredited and the onsite testing and results were performed according to AS 1289.

Filed density testing was also conducted on site and results provided within 24 hours for review as to not hold up construction of the project and create delay
